if you are trying to gain just weight eat alot of carbs but if you are trying to gain weight through muscle work out lift weights or do body work outs like pushups etc
Think 80/20 rule - 80% diet, 20% gym. Eat a lot and lift. Don't count calories, just eat a lot of healthy food - carbs, protein, fats. Make sure you hit the gym 3-4 times a week.
