njRAT, also known by its alias Bladabindi, is one of the most pervasive and notorious Remote Access Trojans (RATs) that has been actively used by cybercriminals since its initial emergence in 2012. Over the years, njRAT has established itself as a preferred tool among hackers due to its potent combination of ease of use, extensive functionality, and effective evasion techniques. This malware allows attackers to gain covert, persistent access to compromised Windows systems, enabling them to remotely control infected machines, exfiltrate sensitive data, monitor user activity, and deploy additional malicious payloads such as ransomware or keyloggers. The v0.12 variant of njRAT marks a significant evolution in the malware’s development, featuring enhancements that substantially improve its stealth capabilities and overall effectiveness in executing attacks.
