I don't really discuss what I do online, with people I speak to IRL, I like to keep the two things separate, almost as they're two completely different lives. However, funny enough, I'm very open to discuss by IRL life with people on the internet.
What I don't get though, is why someone would be considered a loser for using a Forum? They are still very common and very popular. I think the person you spoke to might of had the wrong idea. Do you ever tell them what it is you like about forums? They may not be very familiar and perhaps have bad experience in regard of forums, which makes them keep away from them. Perhaps if you try to explain it a bit.
Either that, or do like most of us, keep it to yourself.
