What are your thoughts on veganism?

I feel veganism is a touchy subject. I'm not a vegan myself but I look at it in a certain perspective that I believe makes sense (in my eyes). I believe veganism is pointless, for a fact that 90% of vegans buy their vegetables at the grocery store, and the grocery store gets the vegetables from mass plowed fields. Those mass plowed fields were possibly forests once. Deforestation means the loss of homes for many different species of animal. And then all of those vegetables are usually sprayed with poison so if something tries eating it, they will get very sick. And considering the amount of fuel needed to burn for the machines that plow, the pollution it creates would be astonishing. I don't know. Is veganism a losing battle anyway? What are everyone's views on the matter?

Well i have probably watched every documentary about this thing because my ex was a vegan... she always tried to change me and stopping me from eating meat but it didn't work. To be honest if the vegans should even have a chance of success in this matter they have to make a difference by changing the law in different countries like the US or china and Russia. i feel all bad for the environment and everything we put the animals thru in the slaughterhouses.... but meat is so good !!!!

I don't have a problem with vegans. It's just the shove it down your throat kind of vegans I hate. Do I feel bad that I just had a Big Mac from a McDonalds? Of course not.

Extremism and subjects like that do not go together.

People can choose whatever they want to eat, that's all.

If I were to have an opinion on it, I'd say that life has always been about survival. We are simply creatures the same as any other wild animal. You don't see a Lion look at a deer and decide to eat grass instead, do you? That's not how nature or life works.

That being said, people can choose to eat whatever they want. If they don't eat meat, someone else always will. If they think they are making a difference, they aren't, it's purely for their own benefit and ease of mind.
