GTA Online for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 Will be Shut Down on December 16th, 2021.
Announced by Rockstar Games Officially on Twitter @RockstarGames and their Official Website.
September 17th, 2013 the release of GTA5 & GTA:Online. Little did anyone know the impact this game would have in the upcoming future. Travel nearly 11 years down the road and who could have known what was to come. From the times when VCAHAX Client was released back in the 2014 era of Playstation 3 GTA:Online Modding, to the DNS money drops on Xbox 360. From law suits to Scams and everything in the middle. Many big names have been and gone allowing us form what the majority of us called 'the modding scene'. From the likes of Kurt2467 with one of the first Script bypasses to creating one of the first SPRX menus for PS3. Reddens and KranK with their VCAHAX Client. Chrome with the first XEX menu for the Xbox 360.

Unfortunately for the people who was around at the beginning of this chapter will understand how down hill it has gone since the introduction of the 'Taxi Freeze' on PS3 which has lead us to where we stand with the current state of crashing people and protections. Forgetting the reason people began modding on GTA for the fun times of enjoying the game to never seen before levels. Boosting cars, flying cars, funny vehicles, cash dropping and the list goes on... To this day the only thing 'developers' are fussed about is trying to scrape as much money as they can from this game and 'crashing' the lobby and ruining the experiences of what retail players are left. I have to use the word 'Developers' lightly because the majority call them selves such title but are unable to create their own work unlike previous times. I could go into detail about the state of Menus and how toxic it is now but that is not what this thread is about.

However with Rockstar Games announcing the Shut Down of Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 Servers is more than likely to heavily impact on the 'Xbox 360 modding scene' since as many of you are aware the Call of Duty series is also on it's last legs with the likes of 'XUID Account spoofing, Remote Code Execution, Infections and just pure dog shit game servers'. Is this a relief? Yes. It's about time that what is left is to be killed off, there just is not the same energy around the whole 'hobby' and too many people are coming in creating services to make some quick cash from work they haven't done wether that be cheats or stealth servers.

I've had people say about the likes of people going to HALO, Call of Duty and Battlefield HOWEVER... Doing some basic research the HALO Servers are also announced to be shut down in the December of 2021. I've already explained the state of Call of Duty and battlefield has only two services that support the game for cheats which i don't recommend buying only for the reason of how quickly things are looking to die out. I can bet hardly any of the current GTA user base will move to these First Person shooters and 100% the 'developers' will not because there is hardly any 'good' 'leaked sources' for such games.

So yeah long story short, I'm excited to see what happens in the December time. Hopefully it will kill of the kids trying to profit still on consoles that are 2 generations behind and the kids who try to flex about these consoles...

That's my opinion on the situation and I'm interested in everyone else's opinion.

it seems like a good thing but also bad

considering most of DF members are xbox/ps GTA modders we will have no idea how it will affect this section in the future

Yeah, i mean it should wipe out near enough of all the Toxicity that is about in the community with all this 'my crashes are better' and these menu cults.

However yeah i do believe it will hurt this section massively due to it being heavily 360/PS3, it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the upcoming months

Grand Theft Auto V was ruined anyway, with all these people that never have a bath thinking crashing people makes them big. Personally, I'm glad it all is ending, i'm also laughing so hard at people who STILL payed for menu's till this day... Specially all those SVT Sweats who payed $400 for it.

Modding was only fun back in 2014/2015 days when everyone was chill and playing to just have fun, like you said, on it's last legs now.

All in all, im glad, overjoyed.

So personally I think this is some good news but if you didn't know....

So a few of you people are aware Rockstar announced today that Xbox 360 & PS3 Servers will be shut down on December 16th 2021.
Hopefully this will kill of much of the Xbox 360 Modding scene since Call of Duty is pretty much on it's last legs so we could see the end of 360 Modding which is going to be a relief. No i won't kill it off fully but it should wipe out a huge majority of modders since many are aware GTA is where the majority are sitting with their shitty menus crashing people.

So yeah I'm quite excited, since it will hopefully kill of all these kids trying to profit still of a console that is 2 generations behind lol... As well as getting rid of the kids who try to flex about Xbox and PS3 still.
But yeah thats my opinion, just curious on what everyone else here thinks.

The end of GTA Online for Xbox 360/PS3 has been long time coming. Since last update 1.27 from 2015. This is a next step from Rockstar Games after they removed Screenshot gallery from their servers. Honestly, it will be so hillarious to see those sad faces who made the community so bad, so toxic and so annoying, SVT for example. Not to forget all those scammers, skids, retards and rip offs selling the same thing over and over again, am i right Mario, Unbound and others? Let’s see where this community will go...

It would be nice to find out the real reason for this choice, but I think it is obvious. Too many toxic with crashes leaked by shit menus
