How did you come across anime?

a friend told me about it and showed me a site and the list and my first anime was elfen lied but at the time i didnt know naruto was anime and i watched that on tv and i was hooked

In my country when I was young Anime was available in free TV. Since we we're dirt poor and can only watch free TV, I was lucky enough to watch animes like Flame of Recca, DBZ, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Doraemon etc.. growing up.

It was back when i was actually watching tv in those old tube tvs my first series was Voltron i think and Yu Yu Hakusho just escalated from there. My best friends up til now were all 29ish are still watching and still talk about anime.
