Hacking Basics for someone with coding knowledge

So I've learned Java, C++ at a proficient level, I am working with C# right now and Im trying to learn Selenium but Im not sure this is the best course of action if I want to get into hacking. What kind of things should I be learning if I have no idea where to get started?
