Hi, everybody looks like google is gonna be using artificial intelligence to serve us news. I hope the AI isn't gonna feed us a fake news.

I think AI will help improve humanity and some ways (e.g. space travel) but news is not an area where it belongs. In other words, human problems and concerns should not be outsourced to machines.

In short, Google will use information that it already knows about you to give you news it thinks you’ll be interested in

This will effectively make sure that we are distracted from real issues that need to be understood and dealt with.
