What's so better about it compared to Skype?

The only thing it has more is DDoS Protection. Skype has many ways to be unresolvable and most people use VPN's now a days.

Discord in comparison contains the benefits of;

• Low Latency
  
• Minimal CPU usage
  
• Custom Hot Keys
  
• Permissions
  
• Multiple Channels
  
• Individual Volume Control
  

I personally believe for one that these benefits are overall appealing. On another note, Skype is basically a vulnerability to yourself when you logon. Regardless that you found a way to become unresolvable, there are still others ways to identify one IP. On another thing, I wouldn't really consider that everyone uses a VPN.
