Broken Computer

My computer broke last night.
Battery works fine, just the screen won't respond.
I've troubleshot and shit, but with no results.

Called Asus 

They politely said my computer is fucked

I bought a new computer

I tried an external motion, as well as I run Linux.
It's just wierd

Yeah my other computer took a shit too. Super random. After an update I couldn't log in anymore because it kept saying handle is invalid. Called someone and they were basically clueless. Never heard it happen before

I've had a problem similar and it was a simple fix on the motherboard.
I took it to a repair shop, a proper one where they have tools and diagrams of computers and the man kindly fixed it for me and it only cost me around $40.

He had to solder and fix a couple things, but he was quick and it was up and working 2 hours later.

Yea, but I had some files on that, which is rather not have people see, or know of ( not porn, :P )
It is something I'm far too protective of
