Have you ever wanted to be unresolvable by Skype Resolvers?

Heres your chance!

What Operating System do you run on?

Windows
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Advanced
3. Click on Connection
4. Click the Checkbox next to "Allow direct connections to your contacts only"
5. Hit Save
6. Restart Skype

Linux
Make sure your skype is turned off before you start the process
1. Find your Skype Directory
(Typical Skype Directory: /root/.Skype or "YourLinuxUsername"/.Skype
2. You should see a folder named after your Skype username (Open it)
3. Look for a file named "config.xml"
4. Hit CTRL+F to search for "<Account>"
5. After you find it go to the next Line and type in"<PrivateSkypeMode>1</PrivateSkypeMode>"
6. Save the file
7. Restart your skype

Mac
1. Click on Skype
2. Click on Preferences
3. Click on Advanced
4. Click the Checkbox next to "Allow direct connections to your contacts only"
5. In "Incoming Port" Type in 40031
5. Hit Save
6. Restart Skype

If I have helped you or if you have any questions, please reply to the thread!

Good guide, but I'm on Mac what you said won't work completely. You also have to add the incoming port as 40031, restart Skype, and bam you're unresolvable.

I use the same method as well, I'm quite confident this would help out for those who are in need of some kind of 'insurance policy'.

Oh, I'm sorry Joker. I never even touched a Mac before so it wasn't exactly the best tutorial. But I will add that in there, Thanks!

If I am correct, there is a more advanced method for Windows users. I forget it, though...
