The initial setup is more expensive than getting a current gen console. Consoles also get more exclusives, but if that's not a dealbreaker for you, I'd recommend getting a PC since you can use it for other things too, like design etc.

pc is best. you can run any console game on pc, a lot of emulators out there.

I have a pc, not ideal for the more casual gamer as it costs $$$$$$$ and fps require the use of a mouse and keyboard for accuracy.

I have both, but if you have the money I'd definitely say build a PC.
