I honestly think hacking isn't worth it because once you get caught you have to spend time in prison. Spending 2-9 years in prison for "HACKING" is not worth it in my opinion. Other people might think different and I'm fine with that because we DO NOT all have same opinions. :P

Depends on what you are hacking. Obviously don't do it if you know you are gonna get caught but yeah there are benefits to hacking :)

In my opinion, it is very much worth it. As if you perfect it, there are many opportunities/routes you can take in life.

Being a Data/Network penetration tester is a very well paid job, and can get you far.

Being a Data/Network penetration tester is a very well paid job, and can get you far.

Also you can get paid a lot for being the guy who cleans up malformed code and intrusions. I have personal experience in securing websites from injections and dumps and by far hacking is something that is good to know in those situations because then you can see or predict what can happen and prevent it before it does :)

When all said and done, it mainly depends on the severity and the duration of the effects that was caused by the submissions of the hacker. Honestly, the term 'hacking' is excessively used to the point where I can no longer find any meaning of it.

Yes "hacking" is so broad now that it almost cant be used to describe what happens nowadays
