Well... what genre do you like? Fruits basket is a pretty solid one if you like dramas more than action, I recently watched the reboot and it was quite good and the characters had better development than expected.

Pretty different from the other suggestions but my first was food wars…I enjoy food but there was a lot more “other stuff” than anticipated but now I feel like I’m prepared for a lot lol
