What is the difference between Http proxy and socks5 proxy?

1. Protocol type: HTTP proxy uses HTTP protocol, while SOCKS5 proxy uses SOCKS protocol.
2. Security: SOCKS5 proxy has higher security because it can encrypt data and protect user privacy, while HTTP proxy does not have this function.
3. Network communication: HTTP proxy allows applications to communicate over the HTTP protocol, while SOCKS5 proxy allows applications to communicate over the SOCKS protocol.
4. Scope of application: HTTP proxy is mainly used for browsers to access web pages, while SOCKS5 proxy is applicable to a wider range of protocols, including FTP, SMTP, IMAP and NNTP.
