Nissan is just about the only mainstream Japanese make I haven't owned. Everyone used to say Honda's were expensive to fix but from my experience, Honda's and Subaru's make awesome, low-cost (as long as you're not a moron about maintenance) drivers. The Toyota's I've had were the exact opposite - great cars when they worked, money pits when they (frequently) didn't.

I had a Nissan for a while. It was just okay. Not great but I did not have problems with it. I want to get an all electric car next.

Mitsubishi is a great brand, specially for SUVs, man.
