MiraxTV is an application created to offer you a simple and efficient means of watching TV online. It provides a list of TV stations that you can tune into and watch from your installed web browser.
MiraxTV displays a simple and user-friendly interface that anyone can find appealing and easy to make use of. Its main window contains a list of station categories that you can access with a simple click and you can choose from the sources of "News", Movies, "Movies", "Kids", "Fids", "Functions" and Educational.
Clicking on any of the categories opens a list of stations that can be accessed. Each comes with a thumbnail that is characteristic of the type of content and of course the name of the station.
Browsing through channels can be done with the mouse and two buttons that you can use to move up or down a list. One thing that is a bit annoying is the fact that when you get to the bottom of a list and hit the down arrow once again, you are brought back to the main menu containing the categories.
When you click on a station you want to watch, MiraxTV automatically opens your web browser and guides you to the website that hosts that channel. The app does not offer an integrated player so the size of the screen on which you can watch the stream differs from website to website and so does the quality.
Also, with MiraxTV you have no way of knowing whether a channel is working or not and you can find yourself waiting a good couple of minutes for something that is not available.
Overall, MiraxTV has a good idea at its core and works well as long as the stations are up, but it does need a bigger database as the current number of stations is quite small.
