How to go about cracking Software?

You can find paid software that has been cracked, and I'm not entirely sure how to do that. If you could direct me in the right direction to find out how I'd be forever grateful.

EDIT: I mean how I can crack software that I own for other people, not a place for downloading cracked programs. Just a clarification.
