How to Get a tabbed menu?

Been trying to add a nice tabbed menu to my forum, and have been looking for days. I have followed so many tutorials, and just ended up messing something up ::P

Fast forward to today, how would I go about getting a tabbed menu like here at DF?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Don't use mytabs, use tabbed menu instead. :)

They're almost identical.
