Last name I came across a game that's been out for a while, but I'd never heard of or seen before.

It's called "Entropia Universe"

I'm not going into depth describing it, but basically it's a game where you can mine cryptocurrency by playing it.

Anyways, have any of you ever tried it  out before?

Yeah, it looks really interesting. I downloaded it but haven't gotten around to trying it out yet. I'm not entirely sure how to do beginning setup.

I have played it, it is interesting.
It is a bit like WoW but less fantasy more fiction.
But about level 4 or 5 you are out of puppy mode and wear and tear are reducing the effectiveness of your gear.
You have to buy ammo because crafting it your self ist not very effective.
Collecting resources and selling is tiresome and turns very fast into a boring grind.
Money Earning will start at a much higher level.
You have to invest about 30 $ a week to get into the money-making (you make your investment back) zone.
