Do we give police too many excuses for obvious cases of police brutality?

YES 100%!!!! Police always abuse their power.
One thing I don't understand is why a cop in my high school carries a gun and DOES NOT carry a tazer. Doesn't make sense.

Well then carry both... not just the gun. Having both would allow use of just a tazer if necessary, and not just killing the criminal...
