Did anyone else pretty much just die socially when the Atlas update came out for NMS?

Or is just me all alone in the world who can't stop playing this awful game. I even have songs about each chemical for when I'm mining. You know, like all the other cool kids do. Has anyone played No Man's Sky on PC? Is it better? I'm kind of digging the PS4 interaction
