Developer needed and pays well especially with more experience. And there are lots of different areas you can specialise in.

or you could go material scientist / condensed matter physicist and work on advances for developing new processors. Even go into quantum computing

Machine learning is something worth learning.

For both programming and graphic design, college can help, but you don't need it. If you're focused you can teach yourself, and just by building a good portfolio you can get hired and showing that you know what you're doing.
