Anime is just a specific style of animation. You don't really need us to explain it, there are perfectly good Wikipedia articles on it that can explain much better for you.

You can't see it but you can tell what they're doing. I would assume it was just a peck seeing as how quickly they did it. I can't imagine any other kiss with that swiftness
