And to export the OST mailboxes to PST, follow the simple procedure: Go to Files >Open & Export and click Import & Export. Select Export to a file; then click Next. 

When you enable archiving, Outlook emails from OST file are saved to a separate PST file. Also, it helps in keeping the size of the mailbox at an optimum level by saving the older mailbox items in the archive folder. Follow the simple steps to create a mailbox archive and save it to the desired location:

1. Launch the Outlook application, go to File, and click Options.
   
   
2. Go to Advanced and click Auto Archive Settings.
